The glasses to be cut are optimized to give minimum waste according to their dimensions in line with the plan received from the Production Planning department and the cutting process is carried out with fully automatic machines.
Laminated
Laminated glass is produced by combining two or more glass plates under heat and pressure with the help of colored or colorless special binding polyvinyl butyral (PVB) layers. In case of breakage, it reduces the risk of injury by holding the pieces in place. Due to this feature, it is considered as laminated safety glass. Laminated glass is also the right choice in terms of preventing or delaying unwanted transitions from one side to the other. Lamination is a standard and typical solution for the interior glass of inclined or overhead glazing.
Laminated, insulating glass units (ISICAM®) can be created with clear, blended colored, coated and heat treated glass. Laminated glass is also beneficial in terms of preserving the natural colors of the objects for a longer time with its low UV transmittance and noise control.
Standard laminate production is made with 0.38 mm thick colorless PVB. It can also be made with 0.76, 1.14, or 1.52 mm thickness. If the glass/glasses used in lamination are tempered, 1.52 mm thick PVB is used.
